Description

Bronze Ballerina scultpure (27.25") by Erasmo Fuentes. Erasmo is a sculptor in stone, wood, and bronze. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1943 and raised in Saltillo. In 1964, Erasmo moved to the US to work. He studied sculpture at Brigham Young University under Dallas Anderson. Fuentes made his living as an artist by carving wood and stone. With his son Alex, he created Anxiously Engageda sculpture that adorns Provos Missionary Training Centerwhile two of his children were serving missions. His work is found in art collections in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe, South America, China, and Korea. He has created many religious, wildlife, dance, and children pieces.
