This is a stoneware platter measuring 11.5 wide. Food, dishwasher and microwave safe. Avoid heat shock. A large Kale leaf from the artist's garden was pressed into the wet clay and left through the firing. It burned out leaving the impression. The piece was then glazed using a copper-based Oxblood Red surrounded with butter white. Royal blue rim outlines the image.
