About Bonnie Lambert

I was a professional stage actress for many years and always felt electrified performing in front of a live audience. The best theatrical experiences can awaken a play-goer to a deeper understanding of themselves and of the world.

Now I am an oil painter, and my years as an actress are my greatest influence. The canvases are my theatre, intense color and deep contrast are my emotional stage lighting, and my actors are a vibrant palette and expressive, impasto brushstrokes. My dramas revolve around frenetic rush hour traffic; quiet neighborhoods sinking into twilight; hectic urban activity; and powerlines and telephone poles slicing the sky into geometric shapes.

I hope that viewers will be moved to see the world around them in a whole new light, and to consider how beautiful and vibrant this wonderful world is.
