It features 48 exquisitely carved wooden horses and two chariots, and is housed in a transparent pavilion designed by Jean Nouvel. The carousel was originally built in 1922 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC) and was restored and gifted to Brooklyn Bridge Park by Jane Walentas
