Description

Concord, Massachusetts: Some of its History and Pictures of the Points of Interest. The Concord Chamber of Commerce, no date. Contains 18 black and white illustrations, plus town map. Step back in time with this 20-page guidebook from the middle of the 20th century. This booklet dates to a time when admission to all of the historic houses was just 50 cents each, and visiting Walden Pond was free. Noted local historican Ruth Wheeler supplied the details, so this booklet probably was made in the 1950s or 1960s. This copy was deaccessioned from the Boxborough Free Public Library, now known as the Albert J. Sargent Memorial Library. An interesting piece of history, all around.
