Amy Thompson lives in Sioux City, Iowa.  She is the owner/artist of Art SUX Gallery in Sioux City, which showcases 20+ local artists, including Amy.

Amy has been a working artist for over twenty years. What started as a therapeutic exercise quickly turned into a passion and a career. Schooled in writing, Amy learned that she could paint what she couldn’t express in words. She considers herself an abstract emotionalist. While abstract art is sometimes dismissed as fine art, it is actually a dialogue between the artist, the canvas, and ultimately, the viewer.
