Bookends & Beginnings is an independent shop carrying a wide selection of new and used books, plus gifts and stationery. Nina Barrett started Bookends & Beginnings in Evanston in 2014. Barrett, a journalist and author, was inspired in part by going to independent bookstores as a child, as well as a business savvy about the industry earned while moonlighting on and off within the bookstore world.
