Chianti Classico is produced in the oldest historical part of the Chianti region and is one of the most prestigious Italian wines bearing the DOCG denomination (“Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita”), which attests to both the origin and quality of wine. It is made from a blend of grapes belonging to different varieties, with Sangiovese representing the largest percentage.

The vineyards are located within the municipality of Radda in Chianti. The specific microclimate, soil and grape varieties combine to create a wine that has a rich bouquet, is slightly tannic and suitable for long-term aging. The genuineness of the wine is guaranteed by the Gallo Nero (Black Rooster) seal, which is placed on bottles to certify that the wine has been tasted and approved by the Chianti Classico Consortiu.
