Artist's Biography:

By day, Kelly is the Creative Director of a small design firm that she started almost 17 years ago. She has worked in the field of art and design for over 25 years in corporate, non-profit, and educational settings. She has been an Adjunct Instructor of Design at a local college, as well as a high school art teacher. All that said, she says that her favorite part of her day is the hands-on, quirky, joyful work that comes from simply making art. Kelly has a Bachelors in Fine Art and a Masters in Art Education, and truly loves that she gets to continue playing and creating at this point in her career.

"Lately I have been using the medium of watercolor, and it both dazzles and challenges me. I learn so much with every piece, every paper, every tube of color. Just when I think I have figured out something technically, the water decides that it is going to behave differently; to bleed or blend, to leave a stain, or evaporate too quickly. Whether it's painting waterscapes or 'birds with hats,' I'm enjoying how much the process can generate joy!"
