Seek the Peak – 25 Years of Reaching New Heights
Find Your Peak. Any Trail. Anytime. Any Ability.

What is Seek the Peak?

STP 2025 Video

It’s more than just a hike—it’s a Hike-a-Thon! Seek the Peak is Mount Washington Observatory’s largest fundraiser, directly supporting our forecasting, research, and educational programs. Whether you're summiting Mount Washington, walking a local nature path, or conquering a personal milestone, your adventure makes a difference. Every step you take helps us advance weather science and provide critical insights into extreme conditions.

When: Hike anytime leading up to Saturday, July 19
Where: Any trail, any peak—your challenge, your choice!
How:

  • Register at seekthepeak.org to start your fundraising journey. Hike at your own pace, on your own trail. Celebrate and claim your prizes!

  • Join us at the Après Hike Expo on Saturday, July 19, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Great Glen Trails!

  • The Expo will feature a bbq feast, beer garden, live music, rock-climbing wall, and the epic gear raffle.

Mt. Washington Observatory (MWOBS) is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth's weather and climate. It serves this mission by maintaining a weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, performing weather and climate research, conducting innovative science education programs, and interpreting the heritage of the Mount Washington region.
