Description

Bid on two extraordinary bottles of French Red Wine from the Bordeaux region: a Cos d'Estrournel 1990 and a Chateau Lynch Bages 1990.

The Cos d'Estrournel 1990 does not disappoint with gorgeous scents of clove, bay leaf, and warm gravel that are almost Pomerol-like in style. The palate is fresh and lively. This 1990 is very well balanced and eschews the warmth of that summer and allows the terroir to shine. It grips the mouth and offers black truffle and sage towards the slightly grainy textured finish that lingers on the palate. $300 value.

The Chateau Lynch Bages 1990 has aromas of tar, currant and berries follow through to a full-bodied palate, with silky tannins and a long, long finish. $600 value.

Special Instructions

The formal method of enjoying the most from these wines requires you to decant before drinking. Be sure to store them properly to preserve what makes them great.
