Sixth Grade Tues/Thurs Art Elective: "Ceramic Nativity Set"--glazed earthenware clay  

Sixth-grade art elective students worked together in each of their elective classes to create nativity sets based on the biblical accounts of Jesus' birth in Matthew and Luke. Each student selected one figure or piece of the scene to sculpt and glaze. Students worked individually but collaborated to create sets unified by style, size, and detail. All pieces are made from red earthenware clay and glazed, and some feature wire details. This 18-piece set is a wonderful reminder of the greatest Christmas gift ever given--God's Son.
