CSB parent Kirk Walker is a long-time wine buyer and consultant at K&L Wines who currently focuses on the Iberian Peninsula and South America. Here, he shares with us a personal favorite:
"One of the greatest expressions of Chardonnay in the world. Grown at almost 5000ft in the Uco Valley in Argentina. This is a Premier Cru - if not Grand Cru - White Burgundy with its depth and complexity of flavor and long penetrating mineral finish."
Founded in 1902, Bodega Catena Zapata is known for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec in Argentina. The 2021 Adrianna Vineyard River Malbec was the first Argentine wine to receive 100 points from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate. In 2023 the winery received recognition as "World's Best Vineyard" to visit.
