A local staple that's worth the trip.. They have an extensive menu available for sit-down or takeout. A classic local bar vibe inside with various specials. The service is always friendly and straight to the point. The food is not usually a homerun, but it gets the job done with hefty portions. Recently, I was craving fish and chips, chowder, and clamcakes. The fish was flaky, but the batter could have used some seasoning and was very plain. The clam cakes were great, and the clear chowder was decent. Overall, if you're in the area, I'd say it's worth going - but mostly if you'll be eating in, so you can say you've been to this historic restaurant.
