Celebrate your freedom to read! Fight censorship! Support authors!
We’ve chosen 15 award-winning books that have been banned or challenged in schools across America. Read them and share them! Wave your “Read Banned Books” flag, carry your “Books Are Magic” tote, and sip from your “It’s a Good Day to Read Banned Books” coffee cup to show your support. Grab your reading journal and book lights for a cozy reading sesh with your kids. And finally, a shopping spree at your favorite local bookstores!
The Middle School basket includes:
- FIFTEEN award-winning books by best-selling authors that have been banned in schools across America (all reading levels)
- $90 gift card to Malik Books, Westfield Culver City Mall and Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall
- $30 gift card to Book Jewel, Westchester
- $30 gift card to Children’s Book World on Pico Blvd.

Winning bidder is responsible for picking up item(s) on the pick up days indicated below. Certificates that can be emailed will be emailed upon receipt of payment. NO SHIPPING ON CLASS BASKETS. Non-local winning bidders may request shipping for an additional shipping/handling fee based on size and weight of item(s).

If you are unable to pick up on one of these days, your item will be shipped to you and your shipping/handling fee will be charged to your credit card. If shipping is requested, your winning bid total plus shipping/handling fees must be paid online within three days of auction close, and may take up to 5 business days for processing once payment has been received.
