Description

Jar of 1810 Bees, Hudson, NY Raw Fall Harvest Honey.

Our delicious raw honey is named for our 1810 Federal home bordering the Greenport Conservation Area. We are artisanal, small-scale, organically-minded local beekeepers and adopters from AnimalKind of Sun Ra and Blue Moon, our two beautiful cats.

In addition to roaming the hundreds of acres of protected land bordering the Hudson River, our bee colonies feed on our uncut meadows with seasonal wildflowers through the spring, summer and fall. We extract the honey by hand. The honey goes through a screen and then goes into 1.3lb jars.

Every one of the small batches we harvest is subtly different in taste and texture - reflecting the seasons and the flowers the bees were feeding on. Because it is raw and has no additives, it crystalizes. Warm it up to clarify or keep as is to spread.

Generously donated by 1810 Bees, whose honey is normally only available through Kitty’s Market in Hudson.
