Description
Shannon Downey - aka BadAss Cross-Stitch - is an artist, activist, craftivist, community builder, and general instigator. They blend politics, activism, and art into projects and work that are designed to inspire others to take action, think, discuss, engage with democracy and their community, and find some digital/analog balance.
They have donated an amazing array of crafty things to motivate and inspire:
- An autographed copy of their new book, Let's Move the Needle (An Activism Handbook for Artists, Crafters, Creatives, and Makers; Build Community and Make Change!)
- A gift certificate for One Embroidery Workshop (either in person or on Zoom)
- A cute little embroidery kit - hoop, fabric, needle, and thread
- An awesome embroidered piece by Shannon Downey herself - Fascists Hate Fun
Now you have no excuse not to get in touch with your crafty side.
Special Instructions
Item will be available for pick up in one of two ways:
- If you are attending the event, you can pick up at the end of Seeds of Change on April 4.
- If you are unable to attend, the item will be available for pick up at Crossroads Fund's Logan Square office after April 15.
