Acclaimed actor Jeff Daniels, whose talents take him from Broadway in To Kill a Mockingbird to TV and films where he’s appeared in drama roles to the looney Dumb and Dumber. In 1991 Jeff Daniels founded The Purple Rose Theatre Company which is a creative home for theatre artists to define our collective Midwestern voice. It is a place patrons of the arts can laugh, cry, and perhaps even learn something new.
Located in the historic district of Chelsea, Michigan’s downtown. The interior of the theatre features authentic 1930′s theatre decor – from the marbled glass chandelier in the lobby to the art deco doors and ticket booth. Perhaps the most unique quality of the theatre is that every seat is under twenty feet from the stage, so each patron’s experience is an up-close encounter with live theatre.

- Please mention Gift Certificate Code COMP 25-26 when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by phone or in person. Unfortunately, online gift certificate redemption is unavailable at this time.
- Due to our limited seating, we encourage you to make reservations at least two weeks in advance.
- Gift certificate will be sent to the winning bidder
- Please present your Gift Certificate at the Box Office when you pick up your tickets.
- If you must cancel or exchange a reservation using your Gift Certificate, we would appreciate at least 24 hours notice. Please call the Box Office at 734.433.7673 to cancel a reservation.
