Enjoy several dining venues throughout the Mauna Kea Beach Resort complex, then hit the links on the award-winning 18-hole Hapuna Golf Course designed by Arnold Palmer. The WestinWorkout Center and Crossfit Studio are complemented by the Hapuna Spa for rejuvenation and relaxation, and you can cool off in two swimming pools, including a 6,800-square-foot freeform family pool and an adult-exclusive infinity pool. An easily accessible snorkeling area called Turtle Point lets you see plenty of colorful reef fish - and often sea turtles. Nearby you can visit Hapuna Beach State Park's recreation area, or take in the pastoral beauty of Waimea.

Just before sunset, journey back in time when ancient, powerful Kings ruled the rugged Big Island on your sunset cruise. Set sail and see historical sites along the Kona Coast like the Ahu'ena Heiau, Pao 'Umi Point, Kuamo'o Battlefield, and the world famous Captain Cook Monument! Along the way, enjoy a cocktail and delicious pupus (hor d'oeuvres). Plus, there's always an exciting chance that you'll see spinner dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, and if your timing is right (winter season) - the humpback whales might even come out to play!

Take your pick of two exceptional underwater adventures! By day you can explore the waters off the Big Island on an exciting small-group tour that takes you along the coastline on a speedboat, where you can look for caves, cliffs, whales, dolphins and other marine life along the way. Afterwards, jump into the clear waters for some coral reef snorkeling and explore the underwater world. Snacks, drinks and snorkel equipment are all included.

Or by night you can go snorkeling with manta rays! Led by a local guide, you'll take a short cruise out to the manta site at Keauhou Bay Harbor, where you'll watch the beautiful Hawaiian sunset before dipping into the water to marvel at your up-close encounter with these gentle giants. All necessary equipment will be provided for your excursion, as well as light refreshments and snacks to enjoy on board. Your tour will conclude at its original departure point. If you don't see manta rays on this excursion, book again for another night--no charge.
