Description

"Belonging" 8"x8"

Belonging is a bright and joyful creation by five-year-old Aviano Chen. It beautifully combines the elegance of Chinese calligraphy with the innocence of children’s art, weaving together tradition and imagination. The inscription reads: “Living with a sense of belonging and thriving in work,” also translated in English and Spanish, underscoring the universal importance of feeling connected, supported, and valued.

Aviano’s playful drawing of three colorful, cat-like figures beneath a green arch captures the essence of togetherness and community. Simple yet profound, it reflects how belonging allows us to grow with confidence and joy.

Created to honor Kai Ming’s 50th Anniversary, Belonging embodies the mission of Head Start: creating nurturing spaces where every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to feel safe, loved, and able to thrive. Acquiring this artwork is not only celebrating children’s creativity but also helping to strengthen the foundation of belonging that all families deserve.
