Description
This is a smaller version of the 8"x8" art piece.
Learning is a joyful celebration of curiosity and growth, created by three-year-old Christina Wu. The piece blends the elegance of Chinese calligraphy with the bright imagination of a child’s hand, uniting tradition and discovery. The inscription reads: “Building a wealth of learning,” also translated in English and Spanish, reminding us that education is a treasure that enriches every life.
Christina’s playful drawing—a whimsical figure alongside shapes that hint at stories and lessons—captures the wonder of early learning. With bold lines and joyful color, it shows how children see the world: full of possibility, full of questions, and full of growth waiting to unfold.
Created in honor of Kai Ming’s 50th Anniversary, Learning reflects the core mission of Head Start: to ensure that every child, no matter their background, has access to the education, care, and support needed to thrive. Acquiring this artwork is both a celebration of children’s creativity and a commitment to building a brighter, more equitable future through the power of learning.
