Description

Get a little mudd-y during a fun, DIY hand-building clay session for 2 (two) at local fave Mudd House on the 101 in Leucadia. Hand-building is a great option for those who want to just play with some clay. In this 1.5 hour UNINSTRUCTED sesh, Mudd House will provide clay, tools, inspiration and examples. If needed, they'll provide a brief overview and instruction. From there, this is a DIY experience. You and your partner will be set up outdoors at picnic table (unless it is raining). One piece is included with your booking and any additional piece you choose to keep is a $10 glaze+firing fee. Your work will be glazed, fired and ready to pick up in a few weeks. All ages welcome.

*** Must call in advance to reserve your class time!

PERSONAL PREP:

Although clay easily washes out of your clothes, please arrive in clothing you’re prepared to get messy!

Hair- If you have long hair, please make sure to bring something to tie it up with.

Nails- It is possible to do ceramics with long nails, but it is extremely challenging (trust us). We highly suggest cutting your nails down prior to your class.

PARKING:

You may park in our lot, find street parking or across the street by the train tracks.

When will my pottery be ready?

We trim and glaze all studio work unless you already know how to do it and would like to trim and glaze your work yourself.

The process from start to finish takes about 3-5 weeks. (See more information under FAQ).
