Kathleen Osta is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner with over 25 years of experience working with children and families. She has worked in school, in-patient, and community based settings and specializes in adolescent development, parenting, and trauma recovery in teens, young adults, and families. In addition to providing direct service as a therapist in private practice, Kathleen consults with public schools and youth serving agencies and develops curriculum focused on social emotional learning and well-being.  

Kathleen draws on the latest neuroscience to provide parents with easily accessible guidance to emotionally attune to their children so they can parent with greater confidence and joy. Parenting can be one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives; it can also be one of the most challenging and isolating. Often our own issues that we thought we had long ago resolved rise back to the surface as our children go through various developmental stages. These moments are openings to deepen our self-awareness and healing so that we can feel better and do better showing up for our kids in ways that break intergenerational patterns, strengthen our relationships, and support our children’s healthy development.
