Enjoy the outdoors from a different perspective while making lifetime memories! Run entirely by hot-air ballooning enthusiasts and volunteers, the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic has been a local favorite for many years.

You’ll receive admission for 2 people to this year’s Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic on July 19th and 20th  2025 at the fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. And a full balloon ride for 2.

The festival includes food trucks, a funzone, photo balloon and demonstrations.

When applying for your balloon ride, please keep in mind that most ballooning activities take place early (starting at 5 in the morning!) and are weather-permitting. There are 3 mornings at the event to sign up for a full balloon ride.

There will also be tethered balloon rides on site, lasting just a few minutes and rising to a gentler height. Times for tethered rides are dependent on wind conditions.
