Mutation by Degrees, 2022, acrylic and oil on canvas, 24" x 36"
Mutation by Degrees questions the separation between body and environment. It was painted from an assemblage created in my studio combining plants, objects, and the projected image of my figure. My body merges with the surrounding objects and materials transforming into new, otherworldly forms through its interactions with its environment.

Mutation by Degrees remet en question la séparation entre le corps et l'environnement. Le tableau a été peint à partir d'un assemblage créé dans mon studio, combinant des plantes, des objets et l'image projetée de ma silhouette. Mon corps se fusionne avec les objets et matériaux environnants, se transformant en de nouvelles formes à travers ses interactions avec l’environnement.

Tiffany April is a visual artist working in painting and light-based installation. She deconstructs the perceived boundaries of the human body through its interactions with the technological and the organic. April completed her MFA at the University of Ottawa and her BFA at Concordia University.
Tiffany April est une artiste visuelle travaillant dans la peinture et l'installation. Elle déconstruit les frontières perçues du corps humain à travers ses interactions avec le technologique et l'organique. April a obtenu sa maîtrise en arts visuels (MFA) à l'Université d'Ottawa et son baccalauréat en beaux-arts (BFA) à l'Université Concordia.
