Solo Adventures: Siena, Linocut, 8x10
'Siena' captures a moment in time during one of my solo adventures abroad. Entering the small cobblestone alleyway captured here in a linocut print, I felt transported back to the early Renaissance. I almost expected to catch a glimpse of one of the city's great artists: Duccio di Buoninsegna, Simone Martini or Ambrogio Lorenzetti.

« Siena » capte un moment précis d’un de mes voyages en solitaire à l’étranger. À Sienne, j’ai passé par une allée en pavage, ici reproduite en linogravure, et je m’y suis sentie transportée au début de la Renaissance. J’avais presque l’impression que j’y rencontrerais les artistes qui ont fait sa renomméeâ¯: Duccio di Buoninsegna, Simone Martini or Ambrogio Lorenzetti.

Siobhan Arnott is a printmaker with a Fine Arts Diploma from the Ottawa School of Art. Her works speak to adventure, travel and mental wellness. She is the recipient of the Leonard Gerbrandt Printmaking Scholarship with artworks in the OAG Annexe and City of Ottawa Art Collection.
Siobhan Arnott est une artiste graveuse titulaire d’un diplôme en beaux-arts de l’École d'art d'Ottawa. Ses œuvres évoquent l’aventure, les voyages et le bien-être mental. Elle est la récipiendaire de la bourse de gravure Leonard Gerbrandt et ses œuvres font partie des collections de l'annexe de la GAO et de la Collection d'art de la Ville d'Ottawa.
