My latest body of work is entitled Grow, Glow & Flow: A series of paintings celebrating inner light. I set out to conceptualize and create a series of paintings exploring the concept of inner light as represented by luminescent flora and fauna. My work reflects my journey of self-discovery and growth. I am using these paintings to focus on exploring my inner world and building self-trust and confidence, particularly after a challenging period.

Mon plus récent corpus d’œuvres s’intitule Grow, Glow & Flow: A series of paintings celebrating inner light. Je voulais conceptualiser et créer une série de peintures explorant l’idée de la lumière intérieure représentée par une flore et une faune luminescentes. Mon travail reflète mon parcours de croissance et de découverte de moi-même. À la suite d’une période difficile, je me sers de ces peintures pour sonder mon monde intérieur et renforcer ma confiance en moi.
Special Instructions
Kina Forney is a multidisciplinary artist practicing from the Loft Art Studios in Ottawa. She received her bachelor of fine arts from Concordia University in Montreal. She co-founded the artist collective Artawa in 2016. She currently teaches painting and drawing to all ages at the Ottawa School of Arts in Orleans.
Kina Forney est une artiste interdisciplinaire qui travaille depuis son espace au Loft Art Studios à Ottawa. Elle a obtenu son baccalauréat en beaux-arts de l’Université Concordia, à Montréal. En 2016, elle a cofondé Artawa, un collectif d’artistes. Aujourd’hui, elle enseigne la peinture et le dessin au campus d’Orléans de l’École d’art d’Ottawa.
