Let this airy angel of light top your holiday Christmas tree. Handcrafted from sinamay in the Philippines. Sinamay is a natural woven fiber made from the stripped fiber of the abaca tree. Abaca is a banana-like tree with a slender trunk and thin leaves. The fine strands of fibers are woven into fabrics with a wooden loom. The resulting woven fabric is called sinamay. Sinamay fibers are also used for making cordage and ropes.

Community Crafts Association of the Philippines, popularly known as CCAP, is a social development nongovernmental organization committed to the development and empowerment of community–based Filipino artisans. CCAP provides marginalized artisans with export promotion and marketing assistance. Locally, CCAP links artisans with government or nongovernmental agencies supporting the handicraft industry.
