The Petersen Automotive Museum celebrates the history, industry, artistry, and culture of the automotive world in the heart of Los Angeles, the most car-centric city in the world. Before stepping inside, the award-winning exterior invokes the movement, speed, and wind gracing over the body of eras of automobiles. Inside, visitors will experience collections spanning from the very first automobiles to dream cars of the future.
Located on the corner of Wilshire & Fairfax in Los Angeles, California, the Petersen Automotive Museum encompasses more than 100,000 square feet, celebrating the exploration, design, and engineering of the automobile. The Museum spans four floors and features more than 150 rare cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

An appointment must be made for item pick-up.
On request, this item can be mailed; the winning bidder will be responsible for the shipping/mailing cost, which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped via UPS and billed at standard industry rates.
To ensure the safety of other visitors and our collection, the Petersen enforces the following policies:
- Visitors are asked to refrain from touching vehicles, exhibited objects, and display platforms at all times.
- For the safety of all visitors and staff, shoes are required.
- Use of wearable AR or VR devices is not permitted while walking in the museum. Devices can be used only while stationary.
- Visitors are asked to maintain a two-foot distance from all vehicles at all times.
- Handheld photography is permitted unless otherwise indicated by signage.
- Restrictions may apply to special exhibitions. Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not permitted at any time.
- For the safety of our collections, guests may be asked to store large accessories at the Security Office on the First Floor. This may include large backpacks, camera bags, purses, diaper bags, umbrellas, travel bags, and other oversized items that are larger than 15 x 12 x 4 inches (medical necessities exempt). Large bags may remain stored on or under the seat of a stroller or wheelchair for the duration of a visit. Small bags for carrying necessary items are available for use at the Security Desk. The Museum may refuse to accept other items at its discretion and is not responsible for items held.
- Complimentary wheelchairs are available to check out on a first-come, first-served basis at the Admissions Desk. Checkout requires a photo ID, and wheelchairs must be returned before exiting the building.
- Strollers are welcome in the museum.
- Food and beverage are not permitted in the museum galleries, with the exception of water bottles that can be sealed with a lid.
- Families can eat snacks on the patio located on the first floor.
- Weapons are not permitted on the premises.
