Artist Statement:
I combine two glass techniques to make my cod - glass sculpting/blowing, and glass fusing. I've had the idea of making glass 'scales' for a fish for a number of years, but never quite got around to it - until now. I make the scales from molten glass, then fuse them to embody 'Full Transparency'.
Artist Biography:
I have been involved with crafts all my life, always having many projects going on to keep my hands busy. After decades of a career in high tech, I signed up for a glassblowing class as a way to force myself to escape. The escape plan worked! I subsequently added glass fusing to my repertoire.

Special Instructions
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
