Artist Statement:
Two styles were used: a bloom transfer, where I applied paint on one surface, scooped it up, and transferred it to stretch out the design and Kintsugi, where gold is used to fill in broken things. What's broken? My spirit, after working with gold leaf. I had to embrace the beauty in the flaw.
Artist Biography:
I started painting 5 years ago as a way to tackle political anxiety. Five years later, the anxiety is back, and I'm thankfully still painting.

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
