Artist Statement:
The whale I designed for this year's auction represents the work I do for my small business, The Sea By Me. It has been decorated with epoxy resin and mica pigment powders to create a gradation of blues and greens and crashing waves that we can see in our Atlantic waters.
Artist Biography:
I am a North Shore artist who has been working with resin for the past 5 years. I hold a degree in illustration and printmaking and have worked in a variety of media. What I love about resin is the movement and fluid designs that are created when the colors are blended, as in my whale!
