Artist Statement:
What if a wooden cod was not an actual cod but was a loom instead? And what if on that loom, rather than scales and tails, there lived a weaving of Devereux Beach just before sunset? Then the cod would not be a cod, or a nautical cod, it would be a Knotty Cod.
Artist Biography:
Groeber is an artist/educator living in South Hamilton. She earned her BA at Yale and is a graduate of MICA and MFA. She has shown her prints, paintings, and mixed media work throughout New England and the Essex Collective www.essexartcollective.com. You can find her on Instagram at jengroeber.

Special Instructions
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
