Rameau and the Art of Dance is a celebration of the wit and elegance of French Baroque dance music, featuring the works of three master composers: Jean-Philippe Rameau, Jean-Féry Rebel, and Marin Marais. Their eloquent scores are brought to life with choreographies by renowned Baroque dancer Caroline Copeland.
Directed by Robert Mealy, head of Juilliard's distinguished Historical Performance
department and longtime Orchestra Director for the Boston Early Music Festival, this vivid journey into the sophistication and splendor of the French Baroque is a special side-by-side collaboration between one of North America’s premiere Baroque Orchestras and the students of its premiere training program. Enjoy excellent seats as Tafelmusik and Juilliard415 join in a pas de deux that bridges generations of Baroque expertise.
