Description
Artist: Sarah Holl
Sarah Holl is an innovative, mixed media Painter and ceramicist who began her career in Clay at her family’s business, Scargo Pottery, on Cape Cod. Sarah’s early influences were her grand grandfather the Swiss born American sculptor Arnold Geisbuhler, father and artist Harry Holl, who cofounded the Cape Cod Museum of Art, painters Sam Feinstein, and Cynthia Packard. Her evolution as an
artist began in clay with large scale, ceramic installations, which can be found in many collections, across the country.
Sarah has works displayed in many public areas around Cape Cod, such as Cape Cod Hospital and numerous restaurants.
Sarah is currently based at her studio in the village of Dennis. Sarah attended the art Institute of Boston. She shares her passion for the arts on a daily basis by being a mentor for numerous interns and has taught figure drawing and painting for many years. Sarah is committed to art and continues to explore new methods for her creativity.
In 2022, the Cape Cod Museum of Art publicly recognized Sarah’s artistic achievements and
commitment to the Cape Cod Art community by honoring her with a CCMoA artist muse award, which includes a solo exhibition. The 2024 artwork exhibition was arranged, chronologically demonstrating the evolution of Sarah’s work over the years.
