Artist: Donna Beach

My love for art blossomed early in my life, rooted in the vibrant small-town charm of Wrentham, MA, where I attended school. One of my most cherished memories of childhood creativity unfolded in the 4th grade when my teacher entrusted me with the task of drawing angel wings for our Christmas play at just 9 years old. This project, brimming with imagination and holiday spirit, marked my first significant artistic endeavor and ignited a passion that would only grow stronger.

As I transitioned into high school, my artistic journey took a remarkable turn when I received the prestigious Boston Globe Scholastic Art Award during my sophomore year at age 15. This recognition fueled my ambition and encouraged me to explore my artistic talents further. Additionally, I embraced the role of illustrator for our school paper, where I was able to combine my love for drawing with storytelling, capturing the essence of student life through my artwork. Each experience enriched my artistic expression and deepened my commitment to the world of art.

After graduating, I pursued my passion for painting on slates and canvas while navigating the joys of raising four children. My role as a Visual Merchandising Specialist at JCPenney for 13 years allowed me to harness and showcase my artistic talents, leading to several victories in visual contests for various vendors. After leaving JCPenney, I honed my skills in assistant administration for multiple corporations from 2002 to 2012. In 2010, I became a member of the Franklin Art Association, and in 2012, I embarked on a new chapter by moving to Cape Cod, continuing my artistic journey.
