About Michael F. Toomey: Michael F. Toomey is a neurodivergent performer, theater creator, and educator specializing in movement, clowning, and play-based actor training. He is the Artistic Director of The Humanist Project in Brooklyn, NY, and a founding member of Split Knuckle Theatre, which has toured internationally. With extensive experience at Shakespeare & Company as a performer, director, and faculty member, Michael teaches clowning in NYC and throughout the country. Michael F. Toomey has studied with Philippe Gaulier and Giovanni Fusetti. He holds an MFA in Lecoq-based Theatre from LISPA and is dedicated to recentering play, pleasure, and laughter in a world that takes itself too seriously.
