Charming hand-painted porcelain from local artist Kit Cropper's "Housemother Collection." There are eight different designs which the artist calls "architechtural fantasies." All Housemothers are 3-piece sets consisting of the Housemother, the base, and an interior scene. The Housemother lifts off her base to allow you to meet the occupants inside. 

"Calliope — The Nanny" depicts a mother pig dressed in aqua and white bending over to engage one of her little charges, who pushes a wagon towards the door. Her skirt is pulled back like curtains over the dwelling, and inside are two bassinets. "Calliope had a deep booming voice like happy thunder and a laugh that resembled a giant steam whistle."

Each figure comes with it's own little story. Perfect for anyone who appreciates fantasy and storytelling.

Each of these lovely figurines is cold-cast porcelain, individually numbered and limited to 3800 pieces of each design. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
