Tim Miller, Lower Lab parent and professional tutor since 2008, works with children, teens, and adults to provide test prep, primarily in math.

Two hours of one-on-one test prep is available in any of the subjects Tim tutors and can be split into multiple sessions.  The tutoring can be done virtually or at your home in New York City, depending on your preference.
In addition to preparing students for tests and quizzes within academic courses, Tim helps many students prepare for specific school or college entrance exams.

While he focuses on building content knowledge and conceptual understanding, he often addresses test-taking strategies with students, especially when a student is dealing with test anxiety or special test-taking accommodations.

Tim has provided test prep for the following exams: ISEE Math, SHSAT Math, SSAT Math, ACT, SAT, GRE Quantitative Reasoning, and the GMAT Math. He also prepares students for the AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Macroeconomics/AP Microeconomics, and AP Physics 1, 2, and C-Mechanics exams. Additionally, he prepares students for various math competitions, including MATHCOUNTS, Math Kangaroo, Math League, AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME.
