Description

Anyone with a heart for environmental mindfulness will appreciate having this piece of photographic history.

Taken in 2006 this exquisite professional photograph captures a moment in time never to be recovered as the Antarctic icebergs succumb to the consequences of climate change and ever-increasing global temperatures.  This is a photo literally looking back in time almost 20 years, providing a true and stark record of the rapidly changing icebergs.  The Royal Navy polar research ship HMS Protector confirmed in 2022 that the Sunshine Glacier on Coronation Island, the largest of the South Orkneys, had shrunk by one-seventh in just 20 years.

32" x 24" professionally and exquisitally matted and framed.

Slate gray-blue frame is 2" wide, dimensional and textured.

The matting is 4-layered, in shades of blue and gray totalling 2.25" wide.
