The Children's Museum of Southern Oregon is a nonprofit children’s discovery museum and early learning center in the heart of downtown Medford. Our focus is on kids 0 to 10 years old.
We provide a rich and varied environment (exhibits, programs, preschool) for free play, along with both instructed and monitored activities that engage trained staff members with children and their families.
Imaginative activity, what scientists call “free play”, is a vital component in proper brain development, actually changing the way the prefrontal cortex is wired. It’s long been proven that kids who engage in free play build a foundation for success not only in school but, ultimately, for their entire life.
