Our theatre is a Branson landmark. It was originally owned and was the home and showplace for county music legend Roy Clark.

In 1983, Clark opened the Roy Clark Celebrity Theatre in Branson, becoming the first country music star to have his own venue here, and beginning a trend which led to Branson becoming a center of live music performance, as it is today. Many of the celebrities who have played in Branson first entertained at the Roy Clark Celebrity Theatre. Clark frequently played in Branson during the 1980s and 1990s. He has since sold the venue (now owned by the Hughes Brothers and renamed the Hughes Brothers Theatre) and gone back to a fairly light touring schedule.

Even though the Hughes Brothers have been performing together for 28 years, 13 of which have been in Branson, they are still young, ranging in age from 30 to 40. Their musical training took place naturally as they were growing up. They've been harmonizing and performing as a group since the youngest brother was only two years old.
