Description
This Cowgirl is stepping out in style, ready to see her favorite bands and artists from yesterday and today! The musicians featured on her all come from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, and include some of the legendary venues that made the music famous. She sports a leather jacket, cool ombre coat, and Swarovski-inspired crystals on her tail and hooves. Viewers will love to remember "back in the day" when they went to see these bands, and the artwork may introduce new listeners to some of the greatest music ever played. This Cowgirl Rocks! is a painted fiberglass hollow statue with a removable wood base.
About the Artist: Dawn Evans Scaltreto is an artist, illustrator, teacher, public artist, and arts activist. She painted 5 cows for CowParade Boston in 2006. Much of her art is public art, geared towards children and families in hospital settings.

The winning bidder agrees to leave the statue on display at Old Sturbridge Village to be part of the CowParade exhibit through September 28, 2025.
The winning bid of this auction item may include an amount eligible as a charitable contribution. Only the portion of the payment that exceeds the item’s fair market value (FMV) may be considered tax-deductible. The cow form must be picked up at Old Sturbridge Village between September 28th and October 4th, or winning bidder may pay for shipping. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged due to shipping.
This auction uses bidding extension, which extends the auction closing time on an item by 5 minutes each time a new bid is placed during the last 5 minutes for that item. This assures that all bidders will have the opportunity to counter any last-second bids on an item. The item’s closing time will continue to extend in 5 minute increments as long as there is continued bidding. The item will automatically close when there is a 5 minute extension period with no new bids or after 60 minutes past the original close time.
