Individuals can submit their name and a 100-character message to be delivered to the lunar surface on two upcoming missions — the Astrolab FLIP rover mission scheduled for 2026 and the ILOA ILO-1 mission in 2027. The names and messages will be stored on a data module before the missions launch, travel through space and then attempt to land near the Moon South Pole. In effect, these messages will touch the Moon, and remain there forever (or until Astronauts repurpose the hardware)!
