You’re bidding on tuition and materials for a 2026 workshop with Vermont based chairmaker, and Sanborn Mills Farm instructor, Eric Cannizzaro. Eric’s shop and teaching space is a shared woodworking/ jewelry shop in Charlotte, Vermont, where he offers a variety of Windsor and ladder back chairmaking workshops each year. Workshops range from 5 to 7 days, and cover a range of processes, from splitting and shaving green parts straight from the log, to classes focused on working dry material. No previous woodworking experience is required to sign up for a workshop, just an open mind. These workshops are a lot of work, a lot of fun, and everyone leaves with a chair they’ve made.
