La Donna Harris: A Comanche Life by La Donna Harris 
This autobiography by Comanche activist and politician La Donna Harris chronicles her journey from growing up on a Comanche allotment to becoming a prominent national political figure.
It details her work founding Americans for Indian Opportunity (AIO), advising President Lyndon B. Johnson, and her 1980 vice-presidential run. Edited by H. Henrietta Stockel, the book provides a unique insider's perspective on Native American advocacy and modern American politics.
