Meet Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning playwright Tony Kushner, whose groundbreaking Angels in America gave voice to thousands lost during the early years of the AIDS epidemic. Widely regarded as one of the most important works of the 20th century, Angels in America defined a generation of gay men in Reagan-era America, earning nine Tony Awards across its two parts in 1993 and 1994, as well as in its acclaimed 2018 revival.
