Hawksmoor
Experience a traditional British steak house with a twist.
Hawksmoor, an award-winning British style steak house and cocktail bar is located in the historic Assembly Room of the United Charities Building, just steps from Gramercy Park. Closed to the public for over a century, the Assembly Room was the beating heart of the building and is now home to the restaurant which boasts 26-foot-high ceilings, stained glass windows and magnificent archways.
Hawksmoor was inspired by a labor of love to find the best possible beef and perfect the seemingly simple art of cooking steak. Owners Will & Huw opened the first Hawksmoor in East London in 2006. They had a simple three-fold goal: find the best possible beef; master the simple-seeming art of cooking the perfect steak; and create an environment where everyone, guests and staff, could relax and enjoy themselves.
