About the Show:
The Young King by Oscar Wilde tells the story of a sixteen-year-old boy who is about to be crowned king after being raised by a peasant, unaware of his royal lineage. He was born to a princess and a mysterious man, both of whom died shortly after his birth, leading to his secret upbringing. As he prepares for his coronation, he exhibits a passionate appreciation for beauty, which foreshadows the impact it will have on his life. Adapted by Nikki Bloom, this play for children of all ages asks, “What is true leadership”? Come join us in this truly immersive theater experience where children and adults alike will step into the magical world of The Young King the moment they walk into the lobby. Children of all ages are encouraged to bring their full imaginations as they engage in this story with their mind, soul, voice, and body!
