Description

This is a vintage Inuit carving, likely made from whale bone or mammoth bone, featuring baleen inlay to depict a figure in traditional clothing. Approximately 7 inches in height.

The figure is depicted wearing a hooded parka, with black inlay used for facial features (eyes and mouth) and decorative dots on the clothing.  The material exhibits natural variations in color, ranging from off-white to a darker brown, characteristic of aged organic materials like whale bone.  The carving is a form of traditional Indigenous art, often created by artists from communities in the Arctic regions.

This is a Live Event Item.
